GOSSIP

He is an old crippled volcano,
he has mares as lovers.
He is an island with seven mad conductors,
he is a submarine mole cricket.

He is a geological layer full of lost keys,
he is a fireman-arsonist.
He is a tree that flies above the sea in spring,
he is a deaf and dumb cosmonaut.

He is a salesman of uninhabited planets,
he is a friend to a hoover-anteater.
He is a tamer of wild mirrors,
he is a pimp of female numbers to computers.

He leads moles on a mine tour,
he is a scarecrow in love with the lightning.
He carries an explosive device in his pocket
timed to go off after three centuries; he is a poet.
