Alen Bešić
(1975, Bihać, Bosnia and Herzegovina), poet, critic and translator, has three books of poetry: U filigranu rez (The Cut in Filigree, 1998), Način dima (The Manner of the Smoke, 2004), and Golo srce (A Naked Heart, 2012) and two books of selected reviews Lavirinti čitanja (The Labyrinths of Reading, 2006) and Neponovljivi obrazac (The Unrepeatable Pattern, 2012). He translated into Serbian Wide Sargasso Sea by Jean Rhys, At the Bottom of the River, Lucy and Autobiography of my Mother by Jamaica Kincaid, Fine Just the Way It Is by Annie Proulx, A Fair Maiden by Joyce Carol Outs, Mantissa by John Fowles and On the Black Hill by Bruce Chatwin. He is the chief editor of the literary magazine “Polja” in Novi Sad, Serbia.
