Georgi Rupchev (1957-2001), studied, lived and worked in Sofia. Graduated Bulgarian Philology at Sofia’s University.

Translations from English include A. Christie, W. Thackeray, A. Doyle, etc. Translations from Russian include Akhmatova, Okujava, Brodsky, etc. Translator of Song of Songs.
His poems have been translated in English, French, Spanish, Hungarian, and Greek.
