Reserved for the Pilots

Darja Kocjančič: Reserved for the Pilots

many of us want more –
windstroll over the fishpond sky
to the alder tree

created
out of green landscape
they chirrup

postcard from the seaside –
on a tottery table
coffee splashes

from golden undulations – the body
also sky and sea
this evening

two deep blues –
suppleness of wave
on seagull’s sparkling wings

azure mala
following the seagull skywards
beautiful thoughts

reserved for the pilots
behind the clouds
a white-hot sun

wind in the window slats –
ciagrette
with the taste of solitude

candle for Lana –
burnt out in the gusts
of the seawind

romance on the screen –
the seat beside
remains untaken

charcoal sketch:
in each stroke
smouldered love

kiss, kiss …
chatting to each other
fire-red

evening in a tavern:
you, me
and a mayfly
