SUMMER IN SPASM
entangled between the worn and cracked ropes of the boat
we sway together on the troubled surface of the water
a seagull cackles from the rock as it watches our struggle
with the strong currents of desire
while summer in a spasm
goes downstairs into the sea
we restrain ourselves from burning
like a vine on a neglected and overgrown vineyard
and while summer
into the water, along with the sun,
down the slippery seaweed, it leaves
we still restrain ourselves from wet piers
into each other
we slip
