Poetry – Nikolina Andova Šopova

SHADOWS
LIKE WHEN TWO SHIPS
A SHOP WINDOW
A ZIPPER
THE ENTRANCE IS ON THE OTHER SIDE

THE ENTRANCE IS ON THE OTHER SIDE

(a poem that can be read from both sides)

he disappears
and forever leaves
the windows wide open
and leaves a tiny letter on the pillow
he sneaks out of bed the morning after

He never comes back to those
who slept with him while alive

He, Death, is a notorious Casanova
