Ecstasy and Conspiracy

Where has Castaneda really traveled!?

Per Ectasis ad Conspiratio! Through Ecstasy to Conspiracy!
But through the grand ecstasy, toward the grand conspiracy! Here is the heart. Here is the base of the bases, here is the bottom of the deepest well, and here is the peak of the flag stacked onto the highest roof! Neither the thought can go deeper neither the imagination can go higher!
Carlos Castaneda had been as much a speleologist of the imaginary, as an acrobat of the exact. In both of them, he had been equal with the best. In these craggy crafts, in these skills for the rarest, Castaneda had distinguished himself in the two key fragments of that mysterious entirety in which the bravest spirits of mankind have tried to step in.
In front of each serious thinker of lives that are so consistently and uncompromisingly dedicated in following their own way – the way of their own heart! – One key dilemma rises:
What can we say about them we that never have made even one step on that road!? Not just today, but from always, the rarest kind are those who dare to step to their own way. Not accidentally, the man is a creature that can adapt so well. Absolutely dominant in the scale of abilities of the average representative of Homo sapiens is adaptability. The plastic in human character is his salutary skill. This is the only way to explain how people can succeed to live for months, for years, even with generations! – Even under circumstances when a dog would not survive and no one with a clear mind and with little respect for himself and his dignity would not be prepared to believe that he could live like that even for a day. But, if it is correct that where the danger is a salvation is, too, where the illness is a cure is, too, the opposite is correct as well: near to cure the illness is, in the neighborhood of salvation, the danger is!
Gifted with a character capable of adaptation to practically everything, a man easily turns into a creature with no character!
The plastic that makes the clay shapeable in every form shows that the clay does not have a form of its own! Carlos Castaneda however belongs in that rare circle of human clays with a form of their own. His whole life, transmitted through reports in his ten books, is a testimony for the existing of that form, or speaking neutrally, the persistence to keep the foundation of self-identity. The identity Castaneda sees it is to follow the way your heart leads you to. Not the whims of fate, #2nor the circumstances, nor the stories of this or that kinds of pressures, this or that social institution. The Real politic, as considering objective circumstances and adapting to their imperatives, to a man as Carlos Castaneda is the lowest kind of degrading own life, own dream, own way!
Even if there are storms, the navigator has a helm. He’ll sale where he decided to go not where the wind and waves will throw him out.
That is why it is so difficult to speak relevantly about such kind of people.

It is a difficult to provide a right to such speech; it is difficult to find an audience who can swallow the huge quality distinction between them and those people.
A big help in a situation like this is the fact that these travelers through the way of their hearts, can mutually recognize and identify each other.
A great physicist Fritjoff Capra dedicates his book the
Tao of Physics (1976)
to a circle of kindred souls, among who at the very top is the name of Carlos Castaneda. Kenneth White, in the brilliant passages of the book “The nomadic spirit” (Tabernakul 1995) writes in a practical way for the mental structure, which is maximally related with Castaneda’s. A great part of the production, known under the controversy entry Postmodern, discussion of Postmodern condition (a literary work by Jean Francois Leotard having the same name, 1979) which is exactly a condition of a lost way with an awareness that the way of the heart is lost and with elements of cynical conviction, that there isn’t, or ever has been such way. The criticism of the cynical mind by Peter Sloterdijk – not less than the Quotation, the irony, the solidarity by Richard Rorty, the deconstructive escapades of Derrida, as the analyses of the rhetorical foundations of the perspectivism (Kaufmanns, Mann, Carrillo) and especially emphasized the fierce, passionate negation of the way as a methods of total plead of thinkers like Gadamer, Foucault, Dworkin, with a culmination in the AntiMethod by the notorious “arch – enemy of the scientific methodology” Paul Feyerabend – not to count further – basically are positions which originate from the conscience that there isn’t a cure for the main need of the human’s heart – to find its way.
For them, those who had been honest enough to realize the imperatively of this need, but not strong enough to sacrifice any of one’s civil comforts, the exit was one verbally – intellectual witticism.
The way of the heart does not exist, they claim, but people must believe in it and some of them even to muster courage to be oriented by that phantasm, and the reason why is in the theleogonical character of the human mind.

According to this “explanation”, the feature of the mind is to produce a consistent conception, which will explain the sum of all our perceptions, knowledge and contests of the mind as derived from one unique, universal principle.
People are made in the way to unavoidable believe in some sort of sense, in some expertly speaking telos, entelehia, although for such presumption there are not any arguments that could stand the test of common sense.
Not by accident firstly we listed the representatives of the conceptions which are based on authentically communication with the dilemmas of position where Castaneda stands, although they have a negative attitude towards them. Namely, there are people (small in numbers though) who are not searching for stronger arguments, than their heart’s arguments. And it tells them that there is such a way. In the dilemma between life without a second thought they choose the way. Among them the first name that comes to mind is certainly the name of Timothy Leary – the notorious discoverer of the LSD. But, the idea of this essay is to show that much wider opus of the intellectual, practical, and even the socially – political and artistic activity and production of the mankind is actually in a direct convergence with Castaneda’s central obsession.
