One life, one death
I will look after the body
I keep quiet

I will look after the body

I will fight for your body,
for the life in it,
the pulse and the blood that pit-a-pat in it.
I’ll wrap my hands around your neck,
while I’m getting closer to you, looking into your eyes,
I’ll transfer all the heat,

from me to you, and backward, in a circle.

I will cover my body with yours,
from the touch a bridge we will make,

from me to you, and backward, in a circle.

We will be listening intently if we come,
stuck to the road, where this and that passes,
the world will be an irrelevant, blurred piece of reality,
while I rest my cheek on your face.

I’m about to cry
you’ll shake my hand
you’ll leave me
then you’ll come back to me…
Of all that our bodies can do,
Being together is the best thing they can do.
