Louise Glück (1943, New York) is an American author. She is a winner of the Nobel Prize for Literature in 2020. Glück works as a literature professor at several renowned universities in the United States. She writes poetry, essays, and prose.

The most significant corpus of her work consists of poetry collections published in the eighties and nineties of the last century, among which stand out: Triumph of Achilles (1985), Ararat (1990), Wild Iris (1992), Vita Nova (1999), Averno (2006).

Glück is also the author of two collections of essays, Evidence, and Theories (1994) and American Originality (2017). Her most recent book is the short story Marigold and Rose, published in 2022.

For her work, Glück is the recipient of several national and international recognitions and awards: “Pulitzer” in 1993, “Wallace Stevens” in 2008, “Gold Medal for Poetry” of the American Academy of Arts in 2015, “Transtrommer” in 2020, and many others.
