Project Description

Ivan Antić was born in Jagodina, Serbia in 1981. Majored in Serbian and Comparative Literature at the Faculty of Philology. In 2009, he published a book of stort stories titled Tonus, in the esteemed Prva knjiga collection (Matica srpska). In 2016 he published a book of short stories titled Membranes, membranes (Kulturni centar Novi Sad). His stories have been translated into English, German, Polish, Albanian, Slovenian and Romanian and included in the young Serbian prose anthology Pucanja (Burstings, 2012), Beton and Traduki anthology Nga Beogradi, me dashuri – Tregimi i ri nga Serbia (2011) translated into Albanian and the Slovenian anthology of contemporary ethnic minority and immigrant literature Iz jezika v jezik (From Language to Language, 2014). He translates literature and theory from Slovenian. He is the editor in chief at the Serbian Cultural Centre Danilo Kiš in Ljubljana, where he has lived since 2012.
