Hanyong Jeong was born in Choongju, Korea, in 1958. He majored in Korean modern poetry, and received Ph.D in Kyeonghee University. Joongang Daily News chose him a New Critic in 1980, and he published some poems in Poetry Movement in 1985 for the first time. Now he has 3 poem books; The Appointment with a Stranger (1990), Sad Santa Fe (1994), and Nana Stories (1999). And he also has an essay anthology, Two reports about the Hell (1995). He leads PoemCafe, a global poet network.
