To the Macedonian Author
Epistle to the Sarajevo Chronicler Izet Sarajlic
Prayer

You know everything, you can do everything,
Great strength lies in you.
You – a boulder of the blazing mind,
Who trapped the world in a net –
And, though your words are stern,
You, a gaze gathered in a point,
Remain misunderstood by the people,
Come on, line up for a pure thought
In the sky above this small space
Which unfurls in your heart –
And gleams like the Morning star!
Stop for a while and gather strength
For the deed to come – and say everything
About this instance, about this day
And be just enough courageous
As to be able to dream;
Having manly breath,
Find a reason to be proud,
Rise above all
With your healthy and ample voice,
Like a Macedonian giant.
