Human Gratitude
Good Selection
Disillusion

I admit
I was a careless friend.
But I did select
My enemies.
Compared with them I now look
Super honest, handsome and even blue-eyed.
Their flamboyant mediocrity
Highlights
My petty talents.
Compared with them
I go on being
The favourite of the neighbourhood,
Almost a relative of Shakespeare’s
A sweet dream of every housewife.
Good gracious!
They are the ones who float sweetly in frauds
That I dare not start…
In fact
My wonderful enemies
Are my second ego.
And my first
Looks at me in disdain
And is gradually transformed
Into an enemy of mine.
