Conditions of Body and Mind After You Turn Thirty

Before I turned thirty,
I thought I didn’t believe in the things
that were right in front of my eyes,
so I clumsily let them disappear.
Now I think I believe in God,
though I’ve never seen him.
Love thy brother,
when it seems that
his life will slip
right through your hands.
Love him with all of your determination
to act against me,
He said,
when I asked him
to change his mind.
And act with faith
only in yourself.
