The Joy of Painting

#1 Macedonian artist Sergej Andreevski has been painting professionally for 20 years. This retrospective exhibition of his paintings is a celebration of the expanse of his body of work. Worthy of international commendation, this exhibition is a must see for serious art lovers.
Sergej’s last solo exhibition in Macedonia was in 1998 at the Museum of the City of Skopje. He has been creating many paintings in the last ten years but has exhibited mostly abroad in Germany, Japan, China and the USA.
#2 When the art scene in Macedonia embraced other forms of artistic expression that uses new media and new technologies, Sergej stayed true to his passion for painting. His work transcends the short-lived fads and local kitsch and is firmly grounded in the quality, the developing structure and the creative logic of authentic art. With his deft use of strong color he is a true ambassador of Macedonian Expressionism.
This 20th retrospective exhibition of Sergej Andreevski stands alone among past exhibitions in Macedonia as it embodies the bold language of international art.
