Project Description
Vineetha Mokkil very talented young short stories writer, author of the short story collection A Happy Place and Other Stories (HarperCollins), which was listed as one of the Ten Best Works of Fiction of 2014 by The Telegraph. She received an honorary mention in the Anton Chekhov Prize for Very Short Fiction 2020 and was shortlisted for the Bath Flash Award in 2018. She is the winner of the New Asian Writing Short Story Competition 2018 and a nominee for Best Small Fictions 2019.
Her fiction has been translated in several world languages and has appeared in great number of magazines and anthologies.
She writes a monthly column for Litro magazine’s “Writing in the Time of the Pandemic” series.
She lives in New Delhi, India.
