Date of birth 13.04.1977, Ljubljana

Education
2004-2005 MA in Central and South-East European Studies, School of Slavonic and East-European Studies (SSEES), University College London. In my dissertation I conducted research on persistence of elements of Yugoslav popular culture in post-1991 Slovenia. While at SSEES, I was a Review Editor for Slovo, a postgraduate-run journal at the school.
1996-2003 BA in Cultural Studies, School of Social Sciences, University of
Ljubljana, Slovenia. I was researching audio-visual renditions of ex-Yugoslav
mythology in popular music and film.

Interests
I am interested in “archaeology of Yugoslav popular culture”: predominantly in research and analysis of cinematography and music as complements and enhancers of historical documents and sources of mythic constructions. In this regard studies of anthropology, history, mythology, nostalgia, mass media and nationalism feature prominently. Devoted reader of world fiction and pastime translator from English into Slovene and vice versa.

Publications
– Popevke iz druge preteklosti, Balcanis, Revija za kulture; Jesen Zima 2004, Ljubljana, pp. 66-74.
At the moment I am editing a thematic section for Časopis za kritiko znanosti about the remains of Yugoslav past in post-yu era.
