Project Description

Antjie Krog was born in 1952 on a farm in Oranjefreistaat, South Africa. She has published poetry, children’s books and novels.
In 2000 she won the Hiroshima Foundation prize for Country of my Skull (1998), an account of the hearings of the truth commission. Her most recent book, A Change of Tongue (2003), takes stock of events in South Africa during the first ten years after Apartheid.
