Aleksandra Jurukoska was born in 1986 in Skopje. She graduated from the Department of English Language and Literature at the Faculty of Philology in Skopje where she later obtained her MA. The master’s thesis ‘‘Ekphrasis as a rhetorical device in the poetry of William Carlos Williams and Wallace Stevens’’ is the first more extensive work in Macedonian dedicated to the poetry of the two authors and second of this kind in Macedonian criticism in the area of poetic ekphrasis.
